Multijurisdictional Intelligence System

Multijurisdictional Intelligence System, also referred to as Interjurisdictional Intelligence System, means an intelligence system that involves two or more agencies representing different governmental units or jurisdictions.

A multijurisdictional intelligence system is operated for the purpose of sharing criminal intelligence information across jurisdictional lines, not for the purpose of responding to a particular multijurisdictional issue, such as gangs, in a coordinated manner (considered a multijurisdictional task force for the purposes of 28 CFR Part 23).
