  • National Fusion Center Training Event: Tuesday, April 3 – Thursday, April 5 (beginning at 1:00 p.m. on April 3 and ending at Noon on April 5)

Agenda

The Strategy Meeting agenda will be based on the following topics:

  • 2012 Performance and Capability Assessment Cycle

  • 2012 National Fusion Center Network Priorities and Gap Mitigation Activities

  • Collaborative Sustainment, Partnership Efforts, and Best Practices

  • Approaches to Increase Executive-Level Fusion Center Engagement

The Training Event agenda will be developed based upon presentation proposals submitted and event planning committee review/input. Key themes that will be addressed include:

  • Training Issues:

    • Managing the fusion process

    • Managing relationships between law enforcement and homeland security partners

    • Analyst skills and tradecraft

  • Operational Best Practices and Lessons Learned:

    • Critical Operational Capabilities (Receive, Analyze, Disseminate, and Gather)

    • Enabling Capabilities (Privacy, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties Protections; Sustainment Strategy; Communications and Outreach; and Security)

    • Partnering with multidisciplinary partners (health, fire, tribal, cyber, critical infrastructure/key resources)

    • Fusion center partnerships (e.g., HIDTAs, Fusion Liaison Officer Programs, RISS Centers)
