Center for Task Force Training

Created in 1991, the Center for Task Force Training (CenTF) Program strives to increase the operational effectiveness of multijurisdictional narcotics task forces in the areas of task force command management, methamphetaminge investigation management, and drug awareness. Through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, the CenTF Program provides training to state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers throughout the United States. CenTF training classes are taught by operationally experienced, command-level instructors.

Training Opportunities

  • Narcotics Commanders Workshop

The Narcotics Commanders Workshop is a three-day course designed for multijurisdictional narcotics commanders and supervisory personnel. It focuses on multiagency response training needs in the investigation and prosecution of narcotics trafficking conspiracies.

  • Methamphetamine Investigation Management Workshop

The three-day Methamphetamine Investigation Management Workshop, designed for state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers, addresses the operational aspects of managing methamphetamine investigations, as well as problem areas specific to these types of investigations.

  • Specialized Training Event

This workshop option is designed to provide an effective, flexible response to law enforcement training needs in the areas of narcotics task force command and methamphetamine investigation management. Workshop length (four hours to two days) and topics are tailored to the specific needs of the requesting agency.

CenTF Resource Center

To supplement the delivery of CenTF courses, a Web-based Resource Center is available. It provides a centralized source of current narcotics information, including publications, available training, relevant Web sites, and other narcotics enforcement-related information.
