IIR Training Opportunities

The CenTF Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance. Currently, the program delivers two different training courses:

  • Task Force Commanders Workshop
  • Methamphetamine Investigative Workshop

Methamphetamine Investigative Workshop

Meth TrainingThe manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine is one of the fastest-growing drug problems facing the nation. The rapid spread of methamphetamine from the western United States to other parts of the country is an increasing challenge for law enforcement personnel nationwide. The covert nature of drug laboratories and the hazardous chemicals involved in methamphetamine drug operations pose unique challenges for law enforcement managers and investigators. Investigations must be properly managed to ensure effective and safe outcomes.

In response to this challenge, a Methamphetamine Investigative Workshop has been developed to address the operational aspects of managing methamphetamine investigations, as well as problem areas specific to these types of investigations.

Task Force Commanders Workshop

Narcotics Commanders WorkshopThe Task Force Commanders Workshop is a three-day course designed for multijurisdictional narcotics task force commanders and supervisory personnel in the area of multiagency narcotics enforcement operations. It focuses on multiagency-response training needs in the investigation and prosecution of narcotics trafficking conspiracies. This workshop provides valuable training for new and experienced managers, supervisors, and senior investigators seeking advancement. Instruction includes practical exercises covering both administrative and operational aspects of narcotics task force enforcement efforts.

In response to this challenge, a Task Force Commanders Workshop has been developed to address the operational aspects of managing methamphetamine investigations, as well as problem areas specific to these types of investigations.

Center for Task Force Leadership and Integrity

The Center for Task Force Leadership and Integrity (CTFLI) Web-based training and resource center was designed for the nation’s law enforcement professionals. The online training addresses the needs of law enforcement practitioners at all levels:
