Senior Software Engineer — Murfreesboro, TN
Requirements: Qualified applicants will present excellent web application development/design skills, including experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET and C# and GIS. Requires extensive experience using SQL Server, TSQL, XML, XSLT, HTML and JavaScript with some understanding of Networking, Web Services, and database administration. Experience with SharePoint, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, WCF, MSMQ, Silverlight a plus. Incumbent must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work as a team player, as well as the initiative to work independently.
The development environment is predominately Microsoft based, providing solutions in .NET and SQL Server. The development efforts include providing technology solutions related to web portal development, network infrastructure, network security, hardware, and the implementation of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software solutions for product development, management, testing and office solutions.
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years experience. Professional application development experience may be substituted for the educational requirements on a year-by-year basis.
Multimedia Designer — Tallahassee, FL
Responsibilities: Develop graphic designs for print and multimedia projects for training programs. Program and design CDs, web sites, and presentations using DreamWeaver and Flash. Design flyers, brochures, notebooks, posters, labels, and annual reports using Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of design experience required. Closely related professional experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Position requires the handling of multiple projects simultaneously and responding to tight deadlines. Excellent time management skills and strong conceptual and communication skills a must. Basic knowledge of Flash actionscript to create Web sites, movie demonstrations, and audio/video presentations preferred.
Assistant Researcher – National Gang Center — Tallahassee, FL
Responsibilities: Independent work assisting management in research, administration of national surveys, and statistical data collection and analysis.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree; experience using and navigating data files in a spreadsheet format (MS Excel), with knowledge of SPSS preferred; capable of performing basic quantitative analysis; juvenile or criminal justice education and/or work experience preferred.
