2012 National Fusion Center Training Event

The National Fusion Center Training Event and Fusion Center Strategy Meeting are invitation-only events. These events are a key forum for representatives from designated state and major urban area fusion centers to receive training and technical assistance and exchange best practices to support the implementation of the Critical Operational Capabilities and the Enabling Capabilities. The events support efforts to further integrate the national network of state and major urban area fusion centers.

The following agencies are sponsoring these events:

  • DOJ’s Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation

  • National Fusion Center Training Event: Tuesday, April 3 – Thursday, April 5 (beginning at 1:00 p.m. on April 3 and ending at Noon on April 5)

Participation

The Fusion Center Strategy Meeting is designed for the director or the director’s proxy from each of the designated state and major urban area fusion centers. Due to space limitations, only one representative per fusion center will be authorized to attend this meeting.

The National Fusion Center Training Event: Fusion center directors from the designated fusion centers will be allowed to register up to four staff members (the director will count as one of the four invited attendees). It is recognized that some centers will not send four personnel and that other centers may need more than four registration slots. The event staff will work to accommodate each center based upon available space.

The National Fusion Center Training Event will be geared toward training and best-practice sharing, and it is best-suited for the following audiences:

  • Fusion Center Leadership

  • Fusion Center Supervisory Analysts

  • Key Homeland Security and Law Enforcement Leaders (Homeland Security Advisors, Police Chiefs, etc.)

Registration

Registration is by invitation only. Fusion center directors from the designated state and major urban area fusion centers are allowed to register up to four staff members (the director will count as one of the four invited attendees). Directors: Please use the registration tab above to submit the names and e-mail addresses of your invitees. The federal agencies sponsoring the event will be issuing invitations to attend.
